KDX250 B2 resto
Hi,
I've just been lucky(?) enough to buy a 250, been looking for a 175 for ages but this 250 came up so thought I'd give it a go.
It has a KX disc/forks conversion of unknown year/model.
I'm actually thinking of putting the original front end back in more for period look but I have a question (probably very stupid).
The brake plate has an extra hole in that I'm unsure what it's for.
It's looks as though it should have twin leading shoes but only has a single brake arm, should the other hole just have a bung in it.
I've looked at lots of schematics but they all just show a hole?
Thanks Mark.

Nice work! It looks like you have perforated decals on the tank. Might I ask where you purchased them?

Welcome to the forums. Congratulations on your KDX.
The chain is definitely too tight!
Do you have a picture of the hub you are talking about?

Re: KDX250 B2 resto
Could the hole be an inspection window, to check brake pad thickness?

That's it!
Perfect, I should of realised it's a pivot point.
Guess I'll be changing front end over this week then.
Thanks.

KDX Geoff has shown me the hub after you'd posted so all sorted.Jason wrote:Welcome to the forums. Congratulations on your KDX.

The photo is of the bike when I went to collect.
I'm currently going through it to get it ready for our MOT test here in the UK.
I'll be fitting new road legal tyres so will sort chain at the same time.
Cheers

Great looking bike! I love mine (same model year), and I'm sure you will too. Mine is basically stock besides an aftermarket silencer which looks pretty similar to the one on your bike. Be sure to post pics of any work you do on it.
