Yes, I clocked the stator... I just don't know where to set it... The original timing you line up the mark on the stator to the mark on the case... Now with a clocked stator where do you set it? Is it just as simple as put it on there tighten bolts and that's it? Also, how do you post a pic? I tried but cannot get it to work thanks!

84 kdx200 stator mod... Now what?....

I did some research on this a while ago...see the post below (C model using a later flywheel) that has some pictures for C model flywheel changeover. The rotation is 90 degrees, based on the Fredette stator mod for the C model, I'm sure the '84 is the same.
1994 KDX200, Beta 200rr, yz125, yz250, kx100 modded for adult, gasgas contact 250.

I know it's an old thread. But I just came upon a 1986 kdx 200 for almost nothing. Its mine so no backing out. When you say rotate 90 degrees do you mean clockwise? Or counter clockwise, common sense tells me clockwise, but I don't want my stator plate to be more like Swiss cheese than neccesary

I would have to see if an 84 would work on mine. But I would be willing to pay what the going rate for the next gen flywheel are going for. Like 60 bucks.

The problem with a used 1984 flywheel is that those magnets could let loose at any time. Now if it was new old stock you could probably get hundreds for it.
