My 1993 KDX200 Build progress

Post by Isgc »

Hey everyone, I just wanted to update you on my 1993 KDX200 build. so far I have installed an LED newer style front headlight, a 2013 KX250f front fender and a 2001 kx250 rear fender. both front and rear are brand new UFO plastics. So far I am very happy with how this build is coming along. you can't even tell it's the same bike anymore  I am also planning on getting some nice black rims along with a full FMF fatty pipe and shorty silencer as well as a Lectron carb. other small details bike nice unbreakable levers, brake res covers, bars, frame guards etc are also planned.
I started planning this build since I saw another awesome build by Thrahl on this site. I can't wait until it's done. :supz:

What are your thoughts on the bike so far? (sorry for the awkward pics, as bike is in a tight winter storage space in the garage)

It’s lookin’ good! But keep in mind that the shorty silencer is for mx. If you plan to ride in the woods you’ll need to have a spark arrester.

Please consider a spark arrestor.

Unless you are cutting your own, no one makes a shorty for a trail bike.

While you are putting on new plastic, get some fork guards.

The rear fender looks very good.

You might want to budget for some more important things like the engine, suspension and brakes, etc. Sorry to sound old, but pretty plastics are the very last thing I would buy.
Thank you for participating on kdxrider.net. :bravo:

Thanks for the info. Fork guards are on the way. I'm planning on getting the suspension re-tuned, and get some upgraded engine parts. Reeds, clutch piston, etc.
