'89 KDX wheel assemblies

Post by Buzz »

Good Day Folks,
Anyone know of a model and year, front and rear wheel assemblies that I could use to replace mine on a '89 KDX 200 E? Can't seem to find an aftermarket that provides them.
Thanks!!!

I don't think ou will find any front aftermarket wheels. You might find a rear replacement. I think (but you check) the OEM rear hub is the same as the 1990 - 1996 KX125/KX250/KX500 rear hub, so if someone offers a whole wheel for those, it may work. Just watch for 18" and 19". I think a similar hub is used on the 1997 - 2002 KX125 and KX250, but it has an extra bearing on one side.
Thank you for participating on kdxrider.net. :bravo:

You can also use an H-series rear wheel on the E-series. The sprocket, wheel spacers, and offset are different but can be adjusted to fit perfectly on the E. I know this as I have an '90 rear wheel on my '98.

89 kdx shares same rear hub as kx125,250,500. In 89 only I believe. Interesting to me because I've been looking for extra 89 rear hub so I can build 18" rear wheel
