bike is boggish

well I checked the compression and it is about 175 which seems to fall into the range. I did put in a new carb. when you first start off runs great but as you really open up the throttle it tends to be boggish. could this be a jetting issue.

Well, new carb....yes it is a jetting issue. ANY changes to the intake/exhaust/engine always require a jetting change. Run through the guide, don't skip any steps or jump around and you'll soon be riding green sweetness.
