Ebay, Pit Replica. I believe it came from Thailand. Took a month. Quality is average. Looks nice.

1990 kdx 200 "I have another question."

When I took it a part, it was a second kick starter. I would imagine after loosing a few pounds in the exhaust, it should run better.

What is the best repair manual? I need the hardware specs.

I like OEM, but they are discontinued, so only used is available. The Cyclepedia version is highly recommended by most who have commented on their purchase. The links are on the home page.

I used a heat gun. 1/4 can of Liquid wrench and about 100 steady whacks. Also I put the exhaust on. I still have to repack the DG Silencer. But I see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Anyone know how high, the top of my forks should sit above the fork clamps? Does it matter? Also I went with a blend of 5 and 7 weight. Not to be mistaken for 6. It’s a blend...

If in doubt,
break the manual out.

I think the forks came flush to the top.

Isn't stock 10 weight?

I dont have the manual to consult. My local shop said 5. Ill try it like this. I have been changing tires by hand. definitely a learning experience. Ive been spoiled by my buddys tire machine. However I decided that I wanted to be able to do it on the trail.

By hand?? I sure as heck hope you mean "with tire irons"!

You can buy a used Kawasaki OEM manual on eBay for cheap or buy the Cyclepedia version on the link at the top of the home page. Buying a service manual is usually the best money you can spend on a dirt bike.

Hey, look! It's a dirt bike.

Have you got a spark arrestor or silencer on there??

I had it off to clean it and repack it. It is a DG series 2. Now painted black and in pieces. Sorry would have replied sooner but took the family to Virginia Beach.

No packing. I guess my previous owner thought it unnecessary.
