KX125 motor to KDX frame?
I've read alot about swaping a KDX motor into a KX125 frame. How about swaping a KX125 motor into a KDX frame. I've got a 2004 KDX 220 and a 2003 KX 125. I am going to build a hybrid KX220, however when I am done I will have a complete KDX frame and good KX125 engine. I figure I could use it as a back-up or buddy bike. Has anyone done this? Is it possible? Is it worth it? I think the problem will be in the swingarm mounting area. If anyone with experience building a hybrid could give me some advice, it would help me decide if it's worth it. Thanks, Dave

I'm not sure it would be worth the trouble.
The attraction of a hybrid is in putting a friendly motor in a chassis more capable than the KDX chassis.
The biggest disadvantage of the KX125 is the motor in the woods.
Of course, if you have the time and a little money, why not?
I put KDX forks on an older KX125. It was O.K. if you were carefull.
