I’m in the process of building myself a hybrid. I’m using a E Series engine and wonder if I was to find a H Series engine at a later date if the case mounts would be in the same location so the engine could be swapped out?
Thanks
Steve

Re: E Series engine / H Series engine
Late reply, but YES, the crankcases are actually the exact same. The head is different, but I'd take a guess that one headstay mount remains the same between the two. The clutch case and it's components are entirely different, as are the cylinder, powervalve parts, and head.
Bore and stroke (200E/200H) are identical, same piston and rod etc. Just the cylinder, head, power valve parts, and clutch case + related inner components that are different. Pipes are interchangeable and dictated by the frame, not the cylinder, to the best of my knowledge.

Re: E Series engine / H Series engine
Oh sorry no pics. This is turning into a never getting to project thanks to life and kids. Seems like I don’t get the time I would like to do the things I want to do and end up doing the things I need to do.
Anyway I have a 94 KDX200 engine and a 2004 KX125 rolling chassis that it will go into one of these days.
