KX250 Hyrid, Good or bad?

I see a complete late 90's-early 2000's complete KX250 roller on the local craigslist (waiting to hear an exact year) for 500 bucks. I was thinking about picking it up for a hybrid build, but was a little skeptical, being that its a 250 and not a 125. What would be the downside of using the 250 chassis? Wider and heavier than the 125? I didn't see very KX250 chassis hybrids when I did a quick search... just wanted to see if anyone had any info to convince me to either buy it, or not buy it.

Any info, any at all, that you could provide would be very helpful and much appreciated!

Thanks
Ty

Right on, thanks!

After reading thru his build, and from what I can see from a little looking around on here; a 99-newer KX125 rolling chassis is the way to go for the easiest conversion. I think I am going to search around a bit more to find one of those. I thought they would be a lot easier to find. O well, I got time. Trying to plan a winter project!

If you find a 99 up 250 for a good enough price , you can find a 125 frame on ebay for a good price. All the parts are interchangeable, From one frame to the next.
