Just so I'm following you....you used a 250 boot with the 125 airbox? Don't think I've heard of that before. I see the CDI....what did you do with the VR?

With this setup do you have to remove the CDI to get the filter in or out? Not a big deal, just curious. I guess going this route the wiring harness did not require any cut and/or splice?

I don't have to remove the CDI to get the filter in and out. Not having to cut up the harness was the only reason I went that route. Hadn't thought of a 250 boot on the 125 airbox. Makes sense since the 125 setup isn't quite lined up. That said, I used the 125 boot and made an adapter with the end of the KDX boot. Maybe not the prettiest solution, but it leaks no air and has never failed yet.

Just reread your build thread. Very nice. I somehow forgot about that angle for the carb boot. Options! I like it.

I'm currently doing this build, How much did you cut off to make the swingarm fit the kdx engine?
I love your kdx hybrid awesome looking bike.

It looks like most people take off around 9mm per side on their swingarms. This is not set in stone though, you need to do a mock up, take some measurements, and see what is correct for your exact set-up.

I see this is your first post; I'd recommend creeping around the KDX-MX Hybrid section of the forum if you are planning a build. I'm in the infancy stages of my build and have been reading a lot of threads. TONS of good info is on here, just gotta look around and see what you find.

The cuts you make to the swingarm arent as critical as the final dimensions of the bushings. Which is nice since the bushings are easier to replace if you make a mmistake.
