Awesome! Thanks for the info. And thanks for the offer, but I may end up doing this swap again so I'd like to have my own tools. Really looking forward to getting this project started.

Is this still available? I'm putting a 250 motor in a 2000 KX frame. Paypal account ready.

I think you need to add a new requirement to letting people use the community reamer: you must post a link to the build thread. :)

I actually used my 43/63rd drill bit tonight and it's perfect. Thanks for the offer though. I wasn't patient enough to wait. :)

If you cant fix it with a hammer, you have an electrical problem.

Yes, that's me. That's my build from last year. This year is a KDX/KX. I'll be posting the build thread up here once it's done.

Your CR based build was very impressive Steve. I'm looking forward to your KX based build, and how you feel it compares to the CR build.

It's done. I built it in 4 days. It's just your average cookie cutter kx/kdx hybrid, nothing special, so I didn't bother putting a thread up here. If people feel like it would contribute to the community, I'll post it up here too.
Here's the build thread on another forum.

I like it more than my CR. The CR perimeter frame seemed cool, but it ended up being a pain to work on the carb, or get the engine in our out. I actually prefer the kx frame. I prefer the kdx220 motor over the 200 for the type of riding I do. I feel like the KDX motor fits in the KX frame much better. The CR felt like every single piece was custom-made for that bike. it felt too custom, in the sense that nothing quite fit like factory. The KX, on the other hand, fits like it was built for the KDX motor. I also feel like the seat height on the KX is a little lower, which is a big deal to me with a 28" inseam. Both are killer bikes though, I just happen to prefer the 220 motor and the kx frame.
If I had to do it again, I would have built the hybrid air box boot, using the KDX boot around the shock. My KX boot rubs the spring and I know it's going to eventually wear through. I'll be re-doing that section. Anyone have a spare KDX airbox they want to sell? :)
Back on topic, post up if you need the reamer.
