1990 KDX200 Carb

Post by blimpman »

I have been looking at posts from everyone that detailed the size jets they have and what needle is installed.

The KDX I bought I think is bone stock except there is a 12T countersprocket (47 rear). Jets are 48 / 150. I don't know how to identify which needle it is. I assume it's stock.

I rode it a little before taking it apart to put reeds in it and clean the carb. It ran pretty good with a little studder at low RPM's which cleaned up quick with the throttle. I assume that it really wasn't warm or the carb was a little dirty. The carb leaked gas thru the overflow because of the float level being too high.

Question I have is how do you identify the type of needle or part number?

I have learned alot from everyone here... thanks to everyone!
