JD RED Needle

Post by Indawoods »

Just swapped out to a JD Red needle. I must say that I am pretty impressed! Very linear kinda like the DEK.... but better. Pulls all the time... no lag.

No real seat time til this next weekend but all indications are very good.

I will report back.

Forgot to mention... 150 main, 42 pilot needle is in the 3rd slot from the top. Temp is 70 right now. The air screw is sitting at 1.25 out. This should give me enough adjustment for hotter temps.... I hope. If not I can always change the clip position on the needle or drop the pilot.

I went out and terrorized the neighborhood. I went zipping by a lady and her young child full throttle and I glanced over just as she gave me a dirty look and snatched up her kid. No remorse.

I bought a set of JD's needles and a few jets used on this site.

The needle performed flawlessly! A tad bit more bottom end was felt and I could not find tolulene to add to the fuel. I could not tell any spooing out the stinger. It was kind of wet in the mouth but it was not spitting it out as before. It may not be related to the needle but I tend to think it is since it is the only thing I had changed.

Pretty darn impressive.

Good to know! I'm gonna give this CGK a try when it gets here. Ordered a few more jets and the CGK from jetsrus. Considering getting JD's kit, but I want to get the carb RB'd as my next mod. Maybe after that I'll try the JD needles, provided you continue having good luck with it!
