Wet Air screw

Post by Tomm9050 »

I noticed my air screw was seeping fuel, removed it and it was wet.
Does this sound normal? bad gasket or float level?

Thanks

It could be the float level (but if it was, I would think that gas would be leaking out of the float bowl over flow tube) or it could be bad reeds that is allowing some spit back in the carb.

Also if the bike had been leaned way over or on its side, that could allow fuel to get there.

For the most part, fuel should not be leaking out the mixture screw.

I'll level the petcock open and see what happens to the overflow.

might be the lean issue. I don't think it's the reeds.

Thanks!
