Doug: 2Ts can be tweaked in a whole lotta ways. By the time you fuss with it for a few years...you end up with all sorts of liddle things that add up to a LOT of fun!!

If you like the II's...consider the III.

Run a fine wire plug. An -EG will do. I suppose an irridium plug is fine...but they've generally been a bit too spendy for me. I mean...I have to CHANGE plugs so often, it all adds up. Dang!! I mean....I changed my plug just....uh...err...ummmm...I THINK it was last year. Maybe it was '07?

An aftermarket lighting coil is worthy of consideration, too. Yep...even if you don't HAVE lights!!

I am getting old... kinda! Control has become an issue... er Whiskey throttle that is... The CEK will loop me out quicker than I can say SH*%#!!!!! I have really been getting into the 4 stroke feel of the SSS... It just makes everything sooooo smoooooth! The DEK is tailor made for the SSS IMHO.

I've got JD's needles niggling my brain. I'm going to have to give his pair a try someday. He says they're 'like' such-and-such single slope needles, but...I'll bet there's more to 'em than that.

Mr. Black had one of the pair he said I was welcome to use..but I'd kind'a like both of 'em just for comparison purposes.

What is it...$70??..for a couple needles is a bit spendy........

I've got a drill. I'm sure I could chuk-up a piece of brass, take a few measurements off one'a JD's multi-taper needles..and just make my own THAT way!

What's a thousandth or two here and there difference gonna matter anyway?

This started out as an RB-carb thread...don't know if r1inoz has one or not, but...

I run my RB-carbed bike with a DEK clipped to #4. Be careful with 'assuming' things. What seems too rich (or too lean) may not be..and the fix for it may not be what you think.

For emphasis, meaning for about the umpteenth time, any RB-carbed bike rider will do themselves a big favor to get the SSS (airscrew adjustment) sorted out. ANY throttle response/hesitation that you are trying to sort out without knowing what the airscrew can accomplish on an RB'd carb will not result in an acceptable setup.
