Something to consider...
For all I know, Mr. Fredette never saw my cylinder. For all I know he had a little monkey (by the name of Jerry I've heard) that put it on the bench..........
I'm not at all saying everything from there is always bad all the time...forever. That's not the point. I AM saying bad things can happen...and sometimes do. Also, when considering that someone consider's RB's carb mod to be less than wonderful, take into account that they aren't exactly the perfect end-all forever terrific parts/service provider that some may think they are.
THAT is the point. I've used RB's carbs on several of my own machines, or machines that I had a close knowledge of..and they have always been delightful. I'm not going to read some pontification that someone else doesn't like 'em and not shine a bit of light into some darkened, dustballed corners of where that idea came from.
There is no intent to impugn or be nasty about anything. It's just the facts, is all.

Update:
I talked to Eric Gorr today and he's already finished the porting and he has the cylinder over getting replated. He thinks he should have it back in another week. I will post pictures when I get it back.

How was Old Town?
Oh no problem. We were so busy running all over the place on Sunday & Monday that I wouldn't have had the time I wanted to visit.
I loved Old Town Sac & walking through the capital. I'm looking forward to going back next year.
I'm going to try and make the trek north this Summer to do some riding. Hopefully I can catch you then.

If you come up to ride around here, I'll see if I can talk carvr into coming down. That'll be a good ride!! Good riding around here. Then, of course, I'm going back to Oregone so look for more about follow-up trips on here as well....

I knew it would take three-four weeks when I mailed it in. Although I'll have to say that I been having fun test riding/racing so many different bikes over the last three weekends.
I just spoke with EG and he's expecting in today and he'll have it shipped to me by Thursday (04/24).
I can hardly wait!!
