I've used one and it made starting a bit more difficult, even at my altitude. if your spooge problem is happening at 0-1/8 throttle, I wonder how much time you really spend at that range, and if it's worth jetting for that. Also, I'm to lazy to read the whole thread , but run a good oil at a reasonable ratio (Like Maxxima 40:1 or that magic Amzoil stuff Vince is so fond of) and screw with your needle. In my NSHO, most woods riders are on the needle most of their lives. So get your main right (plug chop) , tune your needle, and if you're lazy like me, select your pilot based on a one-kick hot start. Let the flames begin.

The 38 was a pretty hard starter..and I had to regulate the too-high zoomin' cold idle with the kill switch.

But it ran great when it got warmed up!

I wonder how much time you really spend at the one-kick hot start spot.

well CC, I suck, but still spend a lot of my time waiting for peepul, so when they show up, I like to give it half a kick and ride on, just to rub their four-stroke noses in it! :supz:

Give the 38 a try. I'm running a 40 pretty much year round at sea level on the coast FWIW.
