220 Head Compression

Post by Green Hornet »

Anyone have an idea what the approx. head compression ratio is after RB Cuts the Squish Band Pump Gas???
I am looking to try a 50/50 of 93 Pump with C12 (108) & was just curious as to what an approx. may be.......

I don't know.

The compression ratio doesn't mean a whole lot...it's combustion chamber pressure that matters.

I don't understand the question. You're looking to have a head done to suit as 50/50 mix? In that case, just tell Ron what the fuel is going to be.

You're wondering what the optimum compression ratio is for the listed mix? Again..knowing what the ratio is doesn't do anything to answer that question.

Besides which...back yard petrochems (mixing this and that) aren't likely to be particularly consistent. Given the junk from the pump, the rating of the mix you list is simply math..add, divide by 2, or just under 100octane.

I've been told what the volume is of a pump gas KDX head..but I don't remember. ....20 something...?? Now THAT'S a big help.

The VOLUME is less the issue than the SHAPE of things.....
