You are correct..too slow, too high and too MUCH of a snap will not give you a favorable response pretty much period.
This:
'The SSS is less a matter of 'bog' than it is response. There should be no 'bog' at all. Look for that response in the off-idle to 1/2 throttle area.'
..still applies.
Three-out is probably too far..based on several other riders' settings anyway.
Are you running a CEK? Try the DEK on -4, maybe one size smaller on your main. Which...btw...is what? No bigger than a 152?
I encourage you to keep after that SSS. It's not a matter of , is that it? It's a matter of what bradf said in the second post on this thread.
