Re: 'I think I was being too tough on the bog thing, too slow, too high a gear, too much throttle. I will try a more reasonable speed and gear next time I am out to find the SSS. '

What's up with that part?

You are correct..too slow, too high and too MUCH of a snap will not give you a favorable response pretty much period.

This:
'The SSS is less a matter of 'bog' than it is response. There should be no 'bog' at all. Look for that response in the off-idle to 1/2 throttle area.'

..still applies.

Three-out is probably too far..based on several other riders' settings anyway.

Are you running a CEK? Try the DEK on -4, maybe one size smaller on your main. Which...btw...is what? No bigger than a 152?

I encourage you to keep after that SSS. It's not a matter of :hmm:, is that it? It's a matter of what bradf said in the second post on this thread.

152 main, CEK 3rd clip. I was riding at higher elevations last time, with the airscrew at about 2.75 or so, didn't really have a chance to play with it much, pulls hard, runs pretty clean. I will find the SSS eventually! No complaints overall though!
