Stock jetting has a lot to do with the anemic performance. Drop the jetting down to something reasonable, get a different needle and you'll find quite a bit of performance hiding in that 05.

Send it back!!

The Boyesen radvalve is...well, a POS.

1. It doesn't work very well.
2. The reeds will be chippinig, splitting, warping and dumping pieces of carbon reed crap into your engine before you know it!

No, I'm not kidding.

A. That opinion from personal experience with the RadValve.
B. I'm not the only one!!

MotoTassinari is the way to go. VForce3!

Using a #7 plug is only masking your jetting problems. A #8 is the correct heat range plug. If you're fouling that...you're jetted wrong.

Don't know about the 'cool' factor, but there are KDX riders on this site with Brazillions of miles of testing, tuning and they pretty much know what they're talking about.

Well....then there's me!

BTW...a separate thread pertaining to your particular questions is the way to go!

Well, then there's Wibby!

His 'old' POS KDX pulls like a 4-stroke and gets him all sorts of places he shouldn't be! I know 'cuz I've followed him there!!

And what Brittany (sp?) has to do with any of this...I doan know!

Because some of us were around even before there WAS a Delta 2 for the KDX!

And some of us know why there even IS a Moto Tassinari reed cage for the KDX! (that works anyway)

So there!

Semper Ubi to YOU, too!

Well it's my fault this thread got started and I didn't provide any info regarding what else besides the RB carb mod had been done. My 93 has Boyesen 607 Power Reeds, Twinair Filter, Cutout Airbox top and ProCircuit Pipe, stock muffler/spark arrestor, 12T front sprocket, 50T rear sprocket, Milleville rear tire which is quite tall and offsets the low gearing. Might go back to the 13T front sprocket with the awesome lowend from the RB Carb.

Thanks fo your help guys.
Im suprised that a new bike would not be jetted properly?
The dealer I bought it from I will not take back for any warranty work
because they screwed up my scrambler 4x4 BAD on some warranty work
a couple years ago and they have the same service mgr so im sure not much has changed.

Boyesen Rad valve's are piece o chits ??
Have not been sent yet from Bike bandit so I hope I can cancel.

Yep send it back or cancel the order. Waste of money from what I've read. There arent too many bikes jetted perfectly (or even close to) from the factory. It depends on where the customer lives/rides, temp, elevation, etc, etc, etc to what the 'perfect' jetting would need to be. Way to many variables to be able to jet for everyone.
