RB Carb & 220 Head INSTALLED-WHOOOHOOO

Post by Green Hornet »

The bike does sound different with the carb, then I had to remove the head, cause those little pins that help line the head to the cylinder were not there. I spoke with ron and he said, they should be put in. I had the head mailed to him from ebay. Ron said it was pretty beat up, but he did a real nice job form the looks of it. With the addition of the VF3, the throttle response is real fast, snappy and did I say SNAPPY.
Now I get my shock & forks back tomorrow. So I'll throw the shock on and take a quick ride. I have to wait to have the stem pressed out.

How about getting all the GO parts sent all the way from over there and then snapping the gear selector shaft before riding it.

I have ridden it since and will eventually post a report of my own. Greenie be very careful of the 'whiskey throttle'.

Tried it today. I have to lean over the tank to keep the front wheel down, going into 4th the rear tire is spinning onm the asphalt. Reves good also, and very snappy. Now gotta try in the woods.

Well rode it today, WOW the power is great every where. I noticed what sounded like a lean bog, after coming off WOT. Ya think raising the needle one will help or goto a larger main. Boy this bike F'king rips now. I had to use the clutch towards the top of the hill so I didn't lanch off of it. Slipping the clutch is alot less now and taking off in 2nd gear is a give me now. I'll tell ya anyone who has the 220 and does not have RB carb & head mod, you're missing out BIG TIME. Also, throw the VF3 on in conjuction with a FMF Rev & TBC2. The rear suspension is now like a Cadillac, Smooth and it puts the meat to da ground. Will have the KX front on in another week.
