hoping a carb/jetting expert can help me with my 95 KDX200 I just brought that has a Pro-circuit pipe/ shorty muffler/intake ported ...opened up airbox ...will run on 95 octane / motul oil
currently it runs a stock(I think?) set-up- needle R1174K-2AFKO pilot jet 48 Main 160
Now most of my riding is 500ft to 2000ft above sea level
I've yet to really give the bike a good run as I've only just brought it and it needs some work before I'd take it up the local mountain trails

One of the more common questions/problems on this site. Answer is always the same. Ensure everything is mechanically sound, no air leaks, etc. Then fresh fuel, new plug and follow the jetting guide as its written. There are no shortcuts to properly jetting your bike. Just remember to pick a ratio (most go 40:1 these days) and oil brand and stick with it. Any changes to intake/exhaust/engine will require rejetting.

jetting & pro-circuit pipe & 500ft-2000ft
Just recently put on a full pro circuit exhaust with a 304 silencer. Bike seems to run good so I have not rejetted yet. I don't think I will need to rejet.

I am going to throw out the overlooked scenerio of the weather.
You have to jet differently for relative humidity, temperature as well as elevation.
I am out here on the left coast in California and definitely would have to rejet if I went to the right coast.
So my first question is where do you live ???
Second question, do you have the PC I, or the PC II, they are different pipes, that require different jetting ?
