RB head mod alone?

Ok finally got to dig into my 1993 KDX200E that I picked up at a swap meet last fall.

Head has some dings which Ron said should be gone after the mod.

Cylinder is going out for replate to Millenium. New top end of course.

Previous owner already did the following:

Airbox lid cut off.
Boyesen 607 reeds.
FMF Gold K-14 ( which I believe is known as the "fatty").
FMF turbine core silencer (have stock as well).
Stock carb set to 155 main, 45 pilot, 1173N on the middle clip.
Air screw 1.5 out.

It had a broken left kips, dirty carb etc.
Still it seemed to run well, but I had only a short time on it. Pulled nice enough to make the rear tire show how hard and horrible it is lol.

My question (after reading JD chart word doc, and juliends post when he changed to a RB head with no carb mod) is:

Will the head mod just make for a more efficient burn and/or should I start ordering jets?

Im in Minneapolis Minnesota area, about 850 ft. elevation.

Going to read more posts but thought I would get any opinions you guys have on where to start. Just in case what I have in now is totally off base.

Thanks!
Vaughn

I'd visit jets are us and get a couple sizes smaller for both the main, and pilot, and go ahead and get a CGK and a DGK needle. These seem to be best for the E series.

Will do. Thanks!

Still have a lot to read on jetting thanks to everything available on this site too. Nice to have a direction to go in though.
