I wanted to share my experience with getting my work done at with Ron at RB. I can say that I have never been so thoroughly impressed with the work done at a particular shop or business.

There was painstaking care taken to ensure that my parts were not only completed to the highest quality but also shipped in one of the best packing job I've seen.

I fully recommend RB to anyone that wants to get performance mods done to their kdx. I cannot wait to put my bike back together !

And his shipping to canada is superfast!

Yes, he is.

Two, maybe three, weeks and my head, carb, and crank are all going to him. I'm just waiting on the rest of my parts to come in and then off they go!

Just trying to make it easier for you to u n d e r s t a n d

This modification is a great enhancement to both power and ride-ability

This carb mod for the KDX 200 and 220's has proven it self for many years now. It will give a great deal more throttle control and response. This modification will allow you to tune your engine for whatever your riding needs are.

This modification has been an on going research and development project with many hours on the dyno and hundreds of hours of actual field testing. Many thanks to all of you that have taken the time to give me feed back in the development of this great carb mod. It helps in making this mod get better and better. Thank you for the support and help.

You will notice the power difference from the bottom end right through the top end. More low end torque, mid range and top end power.

The carb will come to you ready to go, right out of the box. I do my best to get the jetting very close to your riding needs. (Note! Some fine tuning may be necessary)

This carb mod works best with the air box lid removed, after market pipe and silencer, and some inexpensive Boyesen 607 reeds.

The 220's also respond much better with a Head Mod (milling and reconfiguring the squish)

Carburetor Modification for the 200 and 220 includes;

Boring carb to 36 mm (gives you a better top end)
Installing divider plate (gives that low end response, like a smaller carb)
Modify slide (do not forget to send your slide with your carb)
Install new needle (gives the carb that personality)
Change jets (if necessary)
Modify jet block (helps with the over all performance)
Modify low speed circuitry This part of the modification along with the other mods really brings the air mixture screw into play. With only very small adjustments, you can keep your bike running at its peak as you change altitude or with weather changes during your ride.

Note! This is not a carb cleaning service. Please remove all hoses and vent tubes. Make sure the carb is clean and gas free ready to work on. I always return any of your stock jets, needle, etc.

HEAD MOD

This modification is a great enhancer to all of your performance up grades and will give you an additional boost.

I mill the surface and re-cut the squish band. This gives the 200"s more bottom end torque and a snappier rev.

The 220's get a big benefit too, as they are low in the compression department. This will give a better pull through the mid-range and helps with top-end power.

All of these mods are designed so you can still use premium pump gas. On request, I can give you even more compression for the serious engine builder. This will give more power and you will need to use race fuel.

Shipping instructions; Head must be received in clean condition and anti-freeze/coolant free. Please remove the water spout on the top of the head (do not send) also remove any of the two alignment pins that may has stayed in the head (do not send these pins).

lol. I luv you guys!

+1 on Ron. He IS the man.

I got a crank back from him today for my buddies KTM. I think you coulda dropped the box off the empire state building and the crank woulda been fine, it was packaged so well. Very fast turnaround, and great work. I had him do my kdx head a while back, and was equally impressed. Will be sending my carb off as soon as I can recoup the money I spent repairing the dang furnace when it took a dump on us.

For our resident Butterfly, after the head mod, I noticed improved throttle response (much snappier), and more over-rev. Seems like it has a bit more power everywhere too. I wish I had a dyno......

I looked. I accidentally lied. But in the "About me" section of my profile, I added Kudos to RB Designs LLC.

I was brought to tears again seeing that RB remembered Vince on their website.

I am so proud. :supz:
