Bearing Splitter / Case Splitter

I thought I would share my experience with the Central Forge 14-piece gear puller set from Harbor Freight. $40

I bought it to pull the bearings off of a crankshaft. It has a 3" bearing splitter and worked great for that purpose.

The bonus is that it comes with two slotted hook arms that I ended up using to split the cases. I used the stator screws because they were the only threaded holes directly across in line with the crankshaft and the puller only has two arms. Worked like a champ. It has a pointed end for the puller center shaft that stays centered on the crank as well.

My 2 cents is that is was a good buy.
