I have these from Rocky Mountain:

they have been the best guards I've used to date. They fit well under my pants, cover EVERYTHING, don't flair out and cause interferance with my riding position. The strap two straps on the calf and one on the upper thigh. I did have a little problem with the upper thigh on my last ride where they rubbed me to discomfort, but I just loosened the strap and pull my sock up higher. A small wrap of an ace bandage would also work, but more likely you would not need that much sheilding.

I have a set of Thor Force knee guards
Could not imagine riding without them
I wear Underarmor under them to stop the velcro from chaffing, makes them much more comfortable, even in the summer

I use roller blade or skate board knee pads that you can buy at a sporting goods store. They don't protrude into ur boot so you can adjust ur boot tight to ur calf. To me it doesn't make sense to have a shin guard inside the shin guard of ur boot.

Holy ****, talk about reviving a dead thread!
I've not even thought about a KDX for years, then one day this e-mail comes and says someone replied in a thread I've sign on to.
Hope everyone is doing well!
Cheers!
