IMS Tank

Post by saddletramp »

So far so good, the tank is a good fit, it sets right in place like it should. The shrouds took some effort to put on, nothing to major though. Instead of re-using the stock shroud fasteners, I used some that were a little longer with some rubber bushings.
I would say the bigger tank with shrouds increased the comfort level while ridding. My knees seem to lock in right where the shroud cut outs are. This tank reminds me of rideing my 87, that bike had a huge tank and was very comfortable. Still getting used to the new look though, the shrouds seem to hang like a long eared dog but I'll get used to it. Pictures are the gallery

BoW WoW, Not trail tested yet, 60 mile enduro coming up on the 14th. Other than the long rides I doubt it will ever be topped off, maybe used as a donor for jr.'s meager 1 gallon tank. Function over appearance is what I am thinking.

At 7 I don't think he cares to much or knows quite what looks "cool" yet, as far as dirtbikes go, hasn't gone crazy with the stickers yet.
