Pit posse adapters, Moose mini bars and guards

Post by strider80 »

I am very happy with my new handlebar setup. Pit Posse oversize bar adapters (~1/2" lift) for $30 shipped off ebay, Moose mini oversized bars from ebay ~$65 shipped and Moose mini handguards from Monkeybutt for $56 with hardware and deflectors.

All the components mounted up perfectly, the brake lever is not quite where I want it to be side to side wise but I think I can fool around and get it right. This is kind of a pricy upgrade for a bar setup, but I could not be happier. I went from a 75% sit down rider with my low bars because I never felt comfortable standing. I always felt like I was leaning over and my back would get tired, I would only stand when I had to. Now I stand 75% and feel totally relaxed, way less body and arm fatigue. All my buddies want tall bars after riding it. I can't believe I never went to tall bars. BTW I am 5'10"

Looks like a nice improvment. Did the change make the seat feel less cramped?

Oh yea, feels like a different bike now. Way less cramped. Much more comfortable when standing, less fatiguing.

This is helpful; I'm 6'2" and I'm looking for some mods to make the cockpit more roomy. I thought mini bars were just for mini bikes!
