Any reason mine has a 122 main?

Hard to tell from the pics but it looks like you might be in luck. Any of the needles I posted will work fine in the carb. DEL is a softer needle than the CEL.... and I can't remember on the 1173 and 1174 Kawasaki needles. I remember we used to swap one for the other... but can't remember which way.

btw the carb measures at 36mm, and fits both the new inlet boot and airbox fine

needle on its way 2moro, otherwise all cleaned, jetted, float height set, everything ready to fit, w00p w00p!

got everything, jsut need the time to fit it!

i have in my stores (a sandwich bag of jets...)

150 155 160 162 main jets
45 48 idle

and now a CEL needle

judging by averaging the thumpertalk kdx jet thread im gonna say

155 main
45 idle
CEL 2nd or 3rd clip ???
air screw 1.5 turns out

reckon im in the right? any and all advice would be greatly appreciated!!

measured the carb and it is 36mm at the inlet.

hm. Looks like your mounting holes don't line up either.....

I guess I'd grind the plastic to match. If a reed cage for a US 200 will bolt up to your cylinder, they are plentiful on ebay.

When I did my KDX I just filed it out to match the inlet stub.

the holes did line up, i was just holding it off slightly! i had no files to hand so i used a hotknife to melt it out... which i do not advise doing in a confined space

Who give a rats behind, SOP is how the vast majority of us recreational riders operate, and it works just fine for our purposes.
