jetting a 92' KDX 200 with a KDX 220 PWK 33mm carb

Post by KDXsg »

Hi, i have a 92' KDX 200 SR model running a PE 28 carb. Recently I have a KDX 220 PWK 33mm carb and would like to install it for more power. is it safe to just install the 33mm carb right in. the carb is having 142mj, 42pj, r1173n needle in 3cilp postion. any advises. thanks

Yeah, I think it will be safe. You'll need to re-jet most certainly, but you won't know which way to go with it until you can put it in and see how it runs.

If it's lean enough to have seizing troubles you'd know right quick. If you warm it up good, give it throttle and it makes a hollow sounding bog, it's too lean to ride.
