take a look at this graph that the James Dean Jetting spreadsheet made. The straight black line is the reference point so all the other needles show the difference from it. All the others are leaner mostly at smaller than 1/4 throttle. This is a great spreadsheet to have. I used it to properly jet the Keihin in a '89 Honda CR250 I owned. The people at JDjetting.com gave it to me for free since they no longer sell it since they haven't updated it with stock carb needles that the manufacturers put in since 2008. All these graphs are with a 38 pilot jet and 175 main. Reference needle is a R1172N, and then a R1173N, R1174N, R1173K, R1174K
