I need some advice.
Got a 1991 KDX 250 D1.
The bike just, just idles with idle screw all the way in. When I ajust the air screw, nothing much changes. Idle wont go up. It is also smokey at idle and very rich. Even the choke makes not much difference.
Run a 165 Main Jet, R1367N needle, #5 Slide and 35 Idle jet. I've tried a 42 idle jet, but with the same results.
The bike runs great past idle to top speed. Not to rich or to lean.
Just the rich slow idle I struggle to fix.
Also set the float level and cleaned the carb.
Could fuel leak past the needle and needle jet at idle. (Worn needle or needle jet?)
I've tried a Husaberg 300 Carburetor. The bike then idled a bit too lean and too high, but also ran great.
Also tried the Husaberg Slide and needle in my (PWK 38)carb, but then the idle was to high and lean and bike sputters at midrange.

Standard question around here. Did you dip the carb?
Any chance the carb may still have some blockage on one of the vents inside?

No I did not dip the carb. Any suggestions how to do that?
I cleaned the carb with carb cleaner. Where is the location of these vents?
Adjusting the little air screw or the idle screw does not let the bike idle lower or higher. It makes no difference at all.
So it could just be that there will be some blockage somewhere preventing more air in.
