needle quik question

Post by kdxquebec »

What is the differences between a R1173L (2aflp) (Stock '03 220 needle I think) and a R1174NR

I worked a 03 220 carb for a friend and the R1173L is bent. What will happen (rich or lean) if I install a straight R1174NR instead?

Newbie in neddles, seems my brain do not want to clik on the needle guide post

needle quik question

The operational part of the needle fits into a circular orifice in the carb, so a larger number = a larger diameter needle which is a *leaner* needle.

After a quick look at the needle guide, lol...

The 1174N is a bit leaner than the 1173L you're replacing. Should be fine.
