Ok, I have some concern about my jetting on my hybrid.
I have a lot of spooge but my jets seem very small...
200 with RBD head and carb
no airbox lid (KX 125 air box)
wood pipe (with 3/4 inch extension at the cylinder)
pilot: 38
main: 150
CEK needle: middle clip
air screw: more than 2.5 turns out before i get an increase in rpm (like described in the jetting tutorial)
last time I inspected the reed, they looked good. Wondering if this could be the issue since it could mimic a rich condition.
I want to try a 35 pilot but I'm kind of wary about trying anything smaller than 38, what do you all think?
Have you ever seen a jetting this low on a kdx?
thx

weird jetting?
I ride at nearly sea level on an RB'd 220 and I have a 35 pilot, 155 main with DEK on bottom (5th) clip.
KX 250, KDX 220, KDX 220, KDX 200, CR 80

I'm not sure the 220 and 200 would compare, but yes, that airscrew setting would indicate you are too rich on the pilot. I would step it down and see what you see. You are quite unlikely to do any damage by going to small on the pilot in any case. Give a 35 a shot, and just pay close attention to the low end throttle response. You will know very quickly if it is too lean.
