Best place to get the jet needles?

Post by gsa102 »

I have the mid bog in my 96 KDX 200, and want to get the CEL and DEL needle to try. Fredette has a needle for $21 plus shipping, can I do better somewhere else? Where, and would someone have their part numbers? I have not seen anything so confusing since matrix math in college.

I have ordered from these guys many times and they always did me right.

DEL needle original Keihin is only $6.51

$7.69 flat rate shipping also. Cheapest place I have found for jets and needles.

OK, got a CEL and DEL from jetsrus. I put the DEL in to test. The one I pulled out read R1174K-2AFKQ, so I am assuming it is stock. It felt kind of rich in the mid range before I changed it, so we will see how it runs tomorrow. Of course it is 20 degrees cooler than the last time I ran it on Monday, so it should certianly feel more powerful.

It is all stock (I think) except for the Gnarly pipe and FMF silencer. I don't yet know which pipe I have, but I am assuming it is the woods pipe. 155 main, 42 pilot. Clip 2nd from top, same as stock needle.

Update - seems to be smoother and pull better midrange, so it is an improvement. Wouldn't be fair to compare the power as it is much colder today than the last time I ran it.

Update - runs smoother but still a little too rich. Fouled a plug in the last race but it was really slow and tight. Fortunately I realized that as I was leaving the pits, and circled back around and changed it. I will try a 40 pilot and see where it ends up.

DEL and CEL are definitely richer than the stock 1174. If it was rich before, it'll be even more so now. You'll need to go down a bit on the pilot and main.

I run the DEL with 150 main and 40 pilot. Just rode 200 miles last weekend and it was good to me!
