Well the original owner removed 7 of the 32's
Everything else is pretty much stock except I removed the bleed stack and shimmed the 20x1.60 up about 1mm (it's sposed to allow the fork to sit and plant a bit better)
I also drilled the free piston
Midvalve is stock

They are pretty sweet
Where with the old forks I could expect to eat **** over the bars on certain types of terrain, now I just roll right over it like it's not even there

Well, I'm jumping into the game. 2006 KX450 front end on it's way. Apologies to whoever I sniped on ebay.Mr. Wibbens wrote:Well the original owner removed 7 of the 32's

Got any recommended links for details on how to make this fork better for 270 lbs riding in the rooty, rocky forest? I'm hoping to do the work myself in the basement.
I know this one already, which is my starting point.

Here's a interesting thing. I was out yesterday and the forks were kinda beating the hell outa me. So I went out 2 0r 3 clicks on the compression, thinking that would help it
This was the result

So I put them back to where they were, then 3 more clicks in
MUCH IMPROVED!
Bike tracked a lot better, and actually rode much smoother
