2001 KX500 forks and triple clamps on eBay

Post by David_L6 »

Thought this may help out someone wanting to do a fork swap. If I didn't already have so much CR250 stuff I think I'd buy these instead of swapping the KDX front end for a CR front end....
(This is NOT my auction and I do NOT know the seller.)

Will these fit my 2000 KDX200? Will they be too stiff? What modifications will need to be done to get them to fit?

If you know... :)

Please read through some of the posts in this section bmiller. There is a conversion recap that is required reading.

I've been struggling with that as well. I'm picking up a cheap 12 ton harbor freight press today at 11amPST.

bmiller, congrats! I was considering them too, but have to pay the new bike off first.

Hopefully you can provide a report on how it goes together. I'd really like to see some detailed pictures of the parts you use. Thanks!

I'd love to re-use my KDX front wheel, and wonder what that would take. New bearings? A custom axle? Spacers?
