Collecting Parts

Post by wbdisco »

Well after a good couple of days of bidding on the bay, I have ended up with a 2000 KX250 triple, and front axle for a KX250 wheel. I guess I have to start somewhere. I lost out on the forks and front wheel though. I have been doing some reading (searching) and haven't found my answer to my question yet.

1) what years forks 125 or 250 will fit the 2000 KX250 triple? Is it 99 and newer?
2) are the 125 and 250 hub/wheels the same?

I guess after I get the missing items I will get started, but I just wanted to make sure that I was looking for the right stuff. Thanks

According to bike bandit 1999-2002 kx125/KX250 hubs are the same. You will have to continue that research to verify axle/spacers etc... A quick look shows 2003 KX250 to have the same part number too

Also, The front wheel from my 1997 fork fit my 2002 for but I had to use the axle and spacers from the 2002

well, i am just going to try to find the same year match I guess. Is there any real difference to the 250 and 125 forks? Maybe a little heavier duty?
