Is there anyway to tell what the spring rate is? Is is stamped somewhere?

I haven't found anything reliable on that. What I have done is build a jig to try to determine the spring rate by putting the spring in a PVC pipe, and compressing it with another smaller pipe on a bathroom scale while measuring the amount of compression and comparing that to the weight on the scale. What I got were plausible numbers that agreed with RaceTech's estimation of what rate I should have, but to me they seem a good bit too soft. Given that most people say that RaceTech's estimates are way to tight for trail riding, I have to doubt the accuracy of my scale and measurement method.
Good luck, report back.
Good luck, report back.
