KX250F front end?

Post by pietman »

I see a few posters on here have done kx250f fork conversions. Will the kdx stem fit the 250f/450f lower clamp, or did you use kx triple clamps?

Thanks

Short answer - I think the fork diameters are the same.

I have done this conversion twice. On the first time, pressed kdx stem into KXF lower. On the second, I bough a KX 125 03 front end that a fellow kdxer - art the guy who built the hybrid - had already coverted by pressing in stem and making shim spacer. What I learned was that 05 KXF 250/RMZ forks fit perfectly in the KX 125 clamps.

So I know have 2 kdxs and both rock with KDF/RMZ front end.
WR sold. Now have 03 and 04 KDX 220s.
KXF 250 forks. RB Carb and Head. FMF rev pipe. Long live the KDX !!!

KXF forks are pretty cheap on ebay. Probably because that year of motor blew pretty easily.
