Scotts dampener from KDX to KX

Post by rickSA »

Has anybody by any chance moved there Scotts dampener from their KDX to a set of 99' KX125 clamps? Just wondering if the bar-clamp/mount is the same?

Got all the parts ready to stick the KX forks on when I get back home, just don't want to have to get there and have to wait for a mount to have to be shipped from the US when I find out that the KDX's doesn't fit.

Or could someone help me with A,B & C from the KDX top clamp.

One more thing does someone have a KDX stem in the way gathering dust they want to sell?

Thanks again to everyone on this site for the inspiration to do this great mod! and previously being RBed :boogie:

KDX all the way!! :supz:

Ok after allot of digging around I found out that the offset and the rest is the same just the angle that the damper sits at relative to the bars is far off.

So it looks like in any case where the kx bar clamps are fixed and not on rubber cones, the KDX Scott's mount will not work. Not sure about the rest of the KX's with rubber cone mounted bar clamps though.

Thought I would drop it here for the next person looking.
