KDX headlight on KX setup

KDX headlight on KX setup
I'm sure its been asked before but I'm going to ask again. Whats the preferred method of mounting the stock KDX headlight onto the KX front end? Drill & tap the KX trip-tree and fab brackets? Zip-ties? Help.

I have rubber straps at the top and zip ties at the bottom....
