I think it has usd Kayabas. The whole roller is $150. Is this too old to be a good fork swap? Maybe better candidate for a hybrid, or neither? my bikes a 98 200

I can tell ya I'd sure like to have that roller as my WR motor bolts right in, but that year starts vastly updated ergos. Ergos of a 2002+ ? No, but better than my previous era yami, and more 'modern mx' like than the KDX is. For USD conversion I'd prolly say find something newer.

I'd snag the roller for $150 at the very least you can part it out and make back your $150. I don't see any issue with using those forks. You could find something newer but this is practically in your lap. I'd say get them and perform the swap. If you don't like them i'm sure you can unload them for something newer later.

I have an extra WR motor I'm 99% sure would bolt into that. Wide trans, heavy FW, milder porting, lighting coil. This one has new hinson basket, and plates, needs cyl plated. Have new piston too, and all electrics too. Best of the best of the last enduro Jap bikes.
