I had already put 2002 KX 125 forks on my 2006 KDX 200 as referenced in an earlier post. Turns out my neighbor blew up his 2006 KX 250F and it would cost more to fix than his bike is worth. He decided to part it out and I got the complete front end including wheel, brakes, clamps for $150. I thought, what the heck, my bike is a '06 and so are these forks so I upgraded. I was using 2004 KX 500 clamps on the prior conversion so I kept those. I had to use the KX 250F top clamp as the top diameter of the forks is smaller than the '02 125 forks. I also ended up using my KDX front brakes as the 250F hose was too short to work with the headlight. It would have been fine if I was using a number plate up front but I like my headlight.
I took the bike to the MX track yesterday without doing anything to the forks, not even playing with the clickers. It worked really well! Suspension is more plush than on my MX bike but it still seems able to take the bigger hits. I could consistently clear a 45 foot table jump with no bottoming or harsh rebound. Me likey!!!

Do you know if 04 fork guards would fit the bolt pattern on 02 forks?
