Got 02 forks and a 99 rim what year of axel do I need. Thanks finaly going to get r done

Can't say for sure, I have 02 forks and a 04 rim and needed a 02 axel.

I'm gonna have to say you will need an axle that matches the forks. Then, if the wheel won't fit, sell it and buy the right one. You might only have to make a couple spacers, but dealing with the set of the brake disc, I'd say you better know more about what you are doing than you let on ...

I had the reverse, I had 99 forks and a 02 wheel. You will need the 02 axle and spacer for the 99 wheel, I think. Your axle definitely has to match the forks. The diameter is the same so the spacing is the issue. You can buy the spacers from some of the OEM parts sites, but I'm not sure they will be correct with the 02 forks. For mine I installed the wheel on the axle with no spacers held the brake tight and then measured for spacer length. I had to cut the brake side shorter but the other side fit OK.

Plan on using the kdx brake system

I don't know how reliable the info I have is, but it seems a '97 to '02 front wheel are the same. I guess it's all in the spacers to fit the various fork dimensions.

But still, I have an '02 front wheel that I KNOW fits a 2002 KX250 (I have one) that I will sell if you want it.

skipro3 I'm going to try an 02 axle with 02 spacers 1st and see what happens. If that dont work will hit you up. Thanks for all the info

I'm confused, the microfiche says that parts 92143-1581 and 11012-1581 are exactly the same from 97 to 03. Are those part numbers even the spacers you guys are talking about.

And by the way I just bought a set of 97 foks, if anyone has an axle and wheel that will fit that year just let me know.

If you can't find one locally, I will sell my spare. 140 plus shipn. Wheel axle spacers and slightly bent up rotor (still usable). I've never shipped accross the border but I just bought a 12" tire from Ontario, shipn was $30

your 99 axel and collars will work with that 02 250 wheel wheel. It changes in 04
