'06 KLX Triple on a '06 KDX?

Are the rumors true that the KLX triples bolt right up to a KDX frame as the stem is the same? I searched the parts diagrams but the steering stem and the lower triple clamp are sold as a unit on both KDX and KLX so there is no part number for the stem alone to compare. I have a line on some KLX triples that I would use with KX forks.
