USD conversion completed
I finally have USD'S on my 05 200 and that is the best mod
except the pipe and RB !
It's like a new bike and can ride much faster with better control
on any surface but still have a decent ride that doesn't pound you
to pieces.
I have forks from a 03 kx KYB's that had already been modded
on another kdx.
I have the additional steering stem nut below the upper clamp
but still touch the tank in a hard turn. I may consider grinding about
.080 off the clamps right where it touches and then buff it out.
I have the forks set at 11 comp/13 rebound and think the control
is great for the sand hills and tight trails.
Is this setting about right or am I just noticing a improvement over
the old forks and there is a better setting for my riding?
I have no idea if anything has ever been done to them but will find
this winter when I pull them down.

Unless they have been revalved, I would expect them at a minimum to "pack" really badly (fast rebound damping) over a series of small bumps. My forks were beating me to death, and that is the big reason why.
The 03 KX125 forks I have on my 03 KDX200 have been revalved once and the rebound adjustment still isn't sufficient; they start getting better at 24 clicks out! The tuner plans to revalve them again to deal with this.

is much better than the OE forks that were springed to my weight.
When I first put the forks on I had a good amount of wash out in
sand but after adjusting that went away.
I am normally the follower in the group that I ride with through the
tighter trails (not due to power or speed but handling and experience)
but sunday I went riding with one of the guys and actually lost him a
couple times and had to slow down, I was good with that.....

Looks great :supz: I have everything ready to make the conversion (2000 forks with a 2003 triple clamp) but i have a question.
Did you use a 2003 KX clamp with your 2003 forks?
I purchased the 2003 clamp from ---- and of course doing my research after the fact noticed that during the 2003 KX upgrades they changed the offset by 12 degrees to quicken the steering on the 125's.
I also noticed during my mockup that the bar mounting locations are straight up on the 2003 clamp versus the angled back KDX 2000 model that i have. (is this the 12 degree offset?).
