03 KX 125 Front End - Now on Ebay - I'm Sniping

Post by T-Roy »

Howdy Fellas!

I'm sniping for the 03 KX 125 front end parts now being featured on ebay. Please let me know if you are also bidding so that those of us here won't run up bids on each other.

KX converters, what would you say is a fair price for an 03 complete front end? I'm asking if the seller will end the auctions early and sell directly to me. I was thinking that $400 plus shipping was a fair price?

Thanks for your replies.

Thanks Inda, I was thinking $400 was about what you had mentioned before. Unfortunately, this guy wants 200 for the front wheel as a starting bid. I might end up piece mealing this like you did, seller by seller.

Did you use your KDX front brake setup? I see you have the KDX cable routing... Do I need the KX master?

The 03 setup on your machine is what sold me on the conversion. Thanks dude, you had to do such a nice job, didn't you!!

You use the KDX caliper... it's exactly the same. I paid $102 for my wheel, $220 for the forks, $55 for the trees and $50 for another caliper I didn't need and even more on the rest on plastics. If you take out the $50 for the caliper... then your right at about $400.

I also paid about $400. Maybe a little more. Never hurts to ask a seller to close the auction early and sell the assembly. He's only got one shipment to do that way. Ask about the front brake assembley too might be he tosses it all in. Heck, ask about the bars. Didn't the '03s come with aluminum bars?

Good Luck!!!!

$200 for a wheel? Wishful thinking on that seller's part!

Good luck on your search!

Wow, the 03 KX 125 guy is wanting $600+ for the forks alone! He seems to think the wheel and forks alone will bring him betwee $800 and $1000. I wished him the best of luck. I did offer him $500 plus shipping since the parts since they only have 2 hours on the (so says he), but that's my max even for brand new stuff.

I wonder what his reserves are...

Shazam! I'm now the owner of a pair of 2003 KX 250 forks. Used ye ole esnipe and picked those babies up for $167.50. Assuming those bump sticks are in decent condition, I think I got them for a good price.

Now I need the trees and a wheel.

Life is good.
