best/ easiest year KX swap parts for my 02 220r

Im browsing for parts to do the fork swap on my 2002 220. there is alot of posts and reading on the subject but I get confused trying to store all that info and sort it out. Can someone tell me which year KX tripple clamp and forks will be the most trouble free install on my 02? After reading what Inda had to say about the 03 forks, I would like to use them if I can get mty hands on a set and it goes fairly easy. also can someone tell me what the cut off dates were for KX compatability with other year kx's. thanks
